This is my first sun hoodie, and I’m a fan.

"Living in Colorado, summer outings can mean a lot of sun, so I like having an option other than constantly reapplying sunscreen. I’d been hesitant to try a sun hoodie because I thought it might feel too warm, but this one really surprised me. The fabric is lightweight, stretchy, and breathable. I wore it comfortably in temperatures from about 50–80°F at 8,500 feet. Even hiking with a hydration pack, I never felt sweaty or clammy. It did get a little warm around 80°, but we were also in pretty intense sun, and the UPF 50+ protection was worth the tradeoff. Mountain weather can change quickly, and this worked well through sun, shade, wind, and a passing afternoon storm. I wore it hiking, walking the dog, and around the campfire over three days of camping. It also didn’t seem to pick up much odor. I’m 4'10", about 125 lbs and 36C, and I got a small. I prefer a relaxed fit, and the small works well on me. A medium would give more room for layering. The sleeves are a good length, and I really like the hood. It’s not too big or floppy, and I was able to wear it under a big hat when it got windy. There’s a small zippered pocket in the back that I didn’t end up using, but it seems like it would be good for something small and lightweight, like a key, card, or a little cash. I got the Dark Pine color, which I really like. It’s easy to wear with other colors and doesn’t show dirt or little camping spills. I honestly haven’t found a downside yet. I got this later in the summer and am already wishing I’d gotten it sooner. It’s sold out in my size now, so I’m hoping they bring it back next year. I’d definitely like additional colors."
